Super Eagles striker, Gbolahan Salami has confessed that he opted to seek an exit from Finnish club, KuPS in January because he could no longer endure the harsh weather conditions in the Scandinavian country.
Salami, who has his mind set on seeking a deal in Turkey was quick to point out that he did not fall out with the Kups.
The former Shooting Stars player, who has spent two and half years at the club, scored 29 goals in 67 appearances and is set to join a club in the Turkish Super Lig.
However, according to reports in Kazakhstan, top flight side, Irtysh Pavlodar are also on the verge of announcing the signing of Gbolahan Salami.
The report by sports.kz even stated that Salami had already signed a contract and agreement for two years with the club.
Yet the Nigerian is adamant the decision of his next destination has not been made.
He said: “I have left Kuopion Palloseura and will join a new club in January.
“There are lots of offers from Turkey and other parts of Europe but a decision will be made in the coming days or before the transfer window in January closes.”
