Friends of the political icon, Ayo Afolabi are presently concluding all their plans to celebrate him as he clocks the eviable age of 70.
The chairman of the committee of friends and ex-Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Iyiola Oladokun exclusively informed Parrot Xtra that the event will hold on Monday February 5, 2018 at the prestigious International Conference Centre in the University of Ibadan, Ibadan the capital city of Oyo State.
Speaking further, Chief Iyiola Oladokun said the event will starts at 11:00a.m adding that guests must arrive in time and make sure they have their invitation cards with them.
He also gave reasons why friends decided to come together to celebrate the politician. “Ayobami Oladele Atanda Afolabi has done so much for Nigerians as a politician. After working with ex-governor of Osun State, Chief Bisi Akande, he has served our great party All Progressives Congress (APC) at regional and national levels at different times.
“This is why our convener, Kunle Famoriyo came up with the idea that we friends should celebrate him.”
The formal governor also revealed how the event is being financed.
His words, “We are funding the party from our individual pockets. Friends donated and are still donating to make sure that the event records the expected degree of success and glamour.”
Oladokun, however, used the opportunity to admonish friends, especially those who have contributed funds to support the programme to ensure that they get their invitation cards in time.

Parrot Xtra was also informed that full entertainment shall be provided for all guests to make the day a truly memorable one for the celebrant and all prominent Nigerians expected to grace the occasion.
