The Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved up five places in the latest FIFA ranking released on Thursday morning after the very busy month of March.

Compared to their position the previous month, the Super Eagles have climbed five places and now occupy the 47th position while they are sixth in the continental ranking.

Tunisia, Senegal and Congo DR are the top three teams in Africa, followed by Morocco and Egypt.

Our rivals to book a ticket to the next African Nations Cup – South Africa, Libya and Seychelles – are placed 72nd, 100th, and 194th in the global ranking.

Nigeria’s foes at the 2018 World Cup Argentina, Croatia and Iceland have plummeted from their current positions, with the South Americans now fifth, Croatia 18th and the Nordic country 22nd.

In the global ranking, 2014 World Cup champions Germany lead the way followed by Brazil, Belgium and Portugal.

The next world ranking will be published by the official website of FIFA, fifa.com, on 17 May, 2018.
