There will be vibrant activities on the political scene in Oyo State as Shina Peller, the owner of Quilox Nite Club has officially declared his intention to join the race to grab one of the seats meant for the state in the House of Representatives come 2019.
PMParrot can confirm that the entrepreneur has officially declared his intentions of contesting in the 2019 general election under the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
While speaking with media men on Saturday at a special breaking of fast session recently at the Iyaganku NUJ Press Centre, Shina disclosed that he decided to join the race to represent Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Kajola and Iwajowa Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives come 2019 after reflection and extensive consultations.
His words “My people, after a deep thought, reflection and extensive consultations, I have decided to formally declare my intention to represent the Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Kajola, Iwajowa federal constituency at the house of representatives in 2019.
“I appreciate the pieces of advice and concern from well-wishers and mentors who are worried that going into politics will be detrimental to my business interests which I have worked so hard to build over the last two decades but I think the time for social media and arm chair politics is over. We need to take our destiny into our own hands for the sake of Nigeria, for the sake of our children, and the less privileged in our society.”
After the event, Shina Peller informed PMParrot that he would be unveiling his plans in the next couple of days.
