The Chairman, Aare Latoosa Local Council Development Area of Oyo State, Basorun Adekunle Oladeji has strongly admonished aggrieved members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state to sheath their swords and toe the path of dialogue.

Oladeji gave this admonition during a brief chat with PMParrot in his Agodi/Gate, Ibadan Office on Friday.

According to the politician who is also popularly called Omo BAO, nursing grudges and carrying out anti-party activities will not take anybody anywhere.

His words “if we want to be honest with ourselves, our party is too big not to have issues. But then, there are institutionised machineries to thrash out complaints. We are all supposed to be loyal to the party and our leaders.

“When we are dissatisfied with certain decisions of our leaders, there are channels through which we can register our opinions and suggestions.

“We should all be seen as working to sustain the popularity of our party. It is the platform we used and we are still going to use it to seek electoral relevance. This means we must all work hard to sustain our party’s popularity.

Our party, APC is the party to beat. We all know this. We must not do anything to leave any space for the opposition. No member should allow self interest to overshadow the interest of the party. I can boldly say here that our party is big enough to accommodate all the interests of members. We only need to be patient and cooperate with our leaders.”

While speaking on his plans for Bodija Market, Omo BAO announced that his administration has concluded plans to upgrade the market. Presently, we are constructing our Aare Latosa International Meat Market shops.

“Before I say anything, I will first like to thank my leader and the governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi for being a man with vision and for giving us all the support we need.

“After the relocation of butchers to Amosun Village, the task ahead is to functionally utilize the space they vacated. Our people should watch out for what God will use us to do at Bodija Market.

“I can assure all our people at Aare Latoosa LCDA that our administration is here to deliver the best to them in terms of dividends of democracy. We are working day and night to take our LCDA to the greatest of heights. Our prayer is that the next Governor of Oyo State will be a man that will continue the legacy instituted by Governor Abiola Ajimobi.”
