Newly promoted English Premiership sides, Sheffield United and Norwich City are making advances to sign Nigeria’s Super Eagles skipper, Mikel Obi during the summer transfer window.
Mikel returned to the English football in January to join Championship side Middlesbrough after ending his twelve years association with Chelsea to team up with Chinese super league side Tianjin Teda in 2017.
The midfielder Captained the Tony Pulis’s men in the English Championship but failed to lead them to a playoff position and revealed he’s not interested in penning an extension to his already expired six months deal at the Riverside.
The former Lyn Oslo of Norway midfielder has hinted that he would like to remain in England and he’s still desperate to win more laurels before the end of his career.
However, the two new premier league teams has identified the Nigerian midfielder as one of the players who can help them retain their premier league status next season.
