This is perhaps why it has remained the longest surviving privately owned newspaper house in this part of Africa.
“With our 16 years’ experience in the business of publishing, I can also say here that Tribune’s survival in the past 70 years is not a small feat. I am full of joy that we are all witnesses to what the media conglomerate has been able achieve in terms of being at the fore-front of positive campaign for Nigeria’s progress.
“On a personal note, I will say that the Parrot Project would have died on arrival if not for the tutelage and ‘pep talks’ we got from the successive managements of the publishing outfit. We printed our earlier editions there. I must thank late Elder Oluwole Awolowo, Pastor Segun Olatunji, Barrister Dapo Ogunwusi, Dr Abiodun Raufu, Edward Dicson, Debo Abdullahi and several others for the great support they gave and are still giving us.”
