The driver of ex-governor of Old Oyo State, Dr Victor Omololu Olunloyo was last week kidnapped by men believed to be ritualists.

Known simply as Samson, the 42 year-old was kidnapped on his way to work on the fateful day. But he was released several hours after he was captured because he was found simply to ‘un-useful’ by his abductors.

While recounting what happened to PMParrot on Monday at the Molete, Ibadan office of the former governor, the soft-spoken driver said “It was an experience I never want to remember.

“You see, on that particular day, I had earlier attended a vigil in our church somewhere at Sanyo Area in Ibadan. By 6.05 am, I left and took a Nissan Micra taxi cab from there to Challenge.

“However, when I entered the cab presumably coming from Iwo Road, it already had four occupants including the driver. It took less than three minutes of being in the vehicle for me to sleep off.

“I only woke up to find myself in a shrine. The driver and one of the others in the vehicle were the merchants. So, the remaining three of us were tested. Our heads were partially shaved during this exercise. Oh, I thank God, I was found to be ‘un-useful’ and I was pushed out. The other two are still there. Somehow, I found myself on the Ijebu Ode Road. God took control and I found my way home later in the evening.”
