The All Progressives Congress, (APC) in Ekiti state has described the death of the former Governor of old Ondo state, Evangelist Bamidele Olumilua as a colossal loss to the people of Ekiti and Ondo states.
Evangelist Olumilua who marked his 80th birthday at his country home, Ikere Ekiti recently passed on early Thursday morning, according to family sources.
A retired Diplomat and astute politician, late Olumilua will forever be remembered for his roles and determination to ensure de annulment of June 12 Presidential election won by late business mogul, Basorun MKO Abiola.
In a statement in Ado Ekiti on Thursday by the Publicity Secretary of APC in the state, Mr Ade Ajayi noted that the advisory role played by the late former Governor to the present administration was immense and purposeful.
Describing Olumilua as a quiet achiever who was always steadfast in any course he believed, the statement pointed out that his foray into politics benefitted the lots of the masses in old Ondo state.
The statement commiserated with the commissioner of information and the entire Olumilua family over the death of the former Governor.
