The extended 774,000 Special Public Works jobs program initiated by the Federal Government will be flagged off in Ekiti State on Thursday, January 21, 2021.

The programme will be flagged off by the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo and Governor Kayode Fayemi at the Government House Pavilion in Ado at 11am.

In a statement made available to PMParrot in Ado Ekiti, the State Commissioner for Information and Values Orientation, explained that the programme was designed to engage 1,000 beneficiaries from each local government area in public works for three months at N20,000 each per month.

Stressing that the lay down Covid-19 protocol would be strictly observed during the flag off ceremony, the Commissioner enjoined all invitees to be seated by 10am.
