The Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development in Lagos State, Dr. Idris Salako has resigned his appointment with immediate effect.
In a statement made available to PMParrot on Monday afternoon from the office of Mr Gbenga Omotoso, the state’s Commissioner for Information and Strategy, we were made to understand that the governor of the state, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has ‘graciously accepted the resignation’.
The statement added “Governor Sanwo-Olu thanks the Commissioner for his services to the State and wishes him success in his future endeavours.
“The Governor warns all players in the sector to respect the law or face the consequences of any indiscretion, no matter who the perpetrators are”.
Unconfirmed sources informed that the commissioner was asked to resign over incessant cases of building collapse in the state.
