Foremost financial institution, Wema Bank has unveiled its biggest customer reward programme of the year yet featuring a N90million cash bounty for loyal depositors.
The programme – 5 for 5 Promo Season 3 – will see old and new customers of the bank across the country stand a chance to win a share of the N90m cash over 10 months.
The bank’s officials – including Executive Director, Retail and Digital Business, Tunde Mabawonku, and Divisional Head of Retail Banking, Ayodele Olojede, among others, disclosed this at its headquarters in Lagos during a meeting with the press.
Mabawonku explained that the Wema Bank 5 for 5 promo was launched in 2021 and has recorded over 1000 winners, some winning as much as N1million.
This time round, lucky users of their Wema Bank accounts can win up to N2million, monthly, while there are also other cash prizes in various sums, he added.
He explained that the basic requirements to stand a chance to win are to open a Wema Bank account, fund the account with at least N5,000 monthly, maintain an average account balance of at least N5,000 monthly and make a minimum of five transactions monthly using the ALAT Debit card, ALAT app or *945#.
Olojede explained that to reward an active customer, the bank measures the level of their activity based on transactions and funding of accounts.
She added: “So every transaction takes you a step closer to winning, whether you’re using your Wema Bank or ALAT Debit or Credit card, your ALAT app or USSD banking, which you can access by just dialing *945#.
“Season 3 is here and this time, we’ve doubled the prizes so more of our customers can win! There’s N90million to be won over 10 months, and every Wema Bank customer stands a chance to win—even more than once.
“We’re holding weekly and monthly draws. The weekly draws are basically a “giveaway”, 50 people will receive 5k in each draw, just a small gesture to appreciate more of our customers. The monthly draw is the star of the show. Hundreds of Wema Bank customers in different parts and regions of Nigeria will win cash prizes ranging from N10,000 to N1,000,000.
“Each month, we’ll take the draw to a different region of Nigeria and since we’re making 2 millionaires monthly, the twist is that 1 of those millionaires every month, will come from the location we’re holding the monthly draws in.”
