Two-time former Boxing unified world heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua is set for an eye-watering purse against Deontay Wilder – as reps flew into London to finalise a deal.
The heavyweight stars are negotiating a blockbuster in the Middle East with Eddie Hearn at the forefront of talks.
Hearn met with reps from Saudi in the capital and expects a contract to be put together within two weeks.
He told Derek Chisora’s channel: “It went great. We spoke through dates, numbers.
“We expect to receive formal paperwork in the next 7-10 days. I’m very confident you’re gonna get a fight.”
Hearn has secured Joshua two mega-money paydays in Saudi before.
In 2019, he took his rematch with Andy Ruiz Jr, 33, to the Diriyah desert six months after the Mexican-American’s upset.
And AJ is believed to have made a career-best £66MILLION for his 12 round points win.
Joshua, 33, returned to Saudi last August, this time in Jeddah were he was beaten by Oleksandr Usyk, 36, for the second time in 11 months.
On that occasion, he is reported to have banked £32.5m having shared the money 50/50 with Usyk.
A fight with Wilder is half a decade in the making and potentially a legacy-defining night for AJ.
So he will be compensated well, with Hearn revealing Joshua will be in in line to make a stunning sum.
He said: “He’s about to make £60million to fight Deontay Wilder in December.”
