Nigeria’s number one fashion outfit, Vivid Imagination, Lagos is now ready to commission its new multimillion-dollar fashion headquarters.
The new edifice that has the trappings of becoming the most sophisticated fashion center in Nigeria is located at No 24, Johnson Street, off Coker Road, Ilupeju, Lagos.
A source close to the man behind the decades-old fashion outfit, Godwin Mekwuye, informed that Vivid Imagination’s exclusive hub is one in town. “This fashion center is complete with everything,” gushed PMParrot’s source.
He continued “Here, we have a separate building within the complex where we will display sewing products, threads and other raw materials including latest designs.
“We also have provisions for our A-Class customers to test their cloths for fittings under extremely conducive atmosphere. There is a special waiting room for celebrity customers where they can even have their meals and other refreshments!
2,000 Machines, Tailors?
“In addition, we have expansive space for our legendary ‘2,000 machines and tailors’ as several prominent Nigerian musicians have been ascribing to us!”
Our source was quick to add “Even though we do not really have up to 2,000 tailors but you will agree that at Vivid Imagination, the number of tailors and designers we have cannot be glossed over. We give all the glory to God.”
PMParrot gathered that because of the quiet nature of the man behind the Vivid Imagination brand, Godwin Mekwuye, a lavish opening ceremony may not hold as expected.
“Yes o,” explained our source, “the new fashion center already has everything to start functioning. Our new state of the arts sewing machines, finishing machines are there already. Our special tailors and others will start resuming there anytime from now.”
Our attempt to speak with Mr Mekwuye to confirm arrangements for the official opening of the outfit was not successful as he was said to be busy meeting some of his designers.
