‘The Noble Warrior’ To Be Staged As Soyinka Turns 90

The Muson Centre, Lagos State, and Hubert Ogunde Hall at the June 12 Cultural Centre in Abeokuta, Ogun State, will be alive with the stage performance of The Noble Warrior –‘Eni Ogun’ in honour of Nobel laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka who turns 90 on July 16.

It will be presented by Adubiifa Network Company (ANC), a multi-media literary, theatre, and movie company.

The Noble Warrior is written by Aiye-ko-ooto, directed by Oriade Adefila and produced by Cash Onadele. It is a collaboration between the Wole Soyinka International Cultural Exchange (WSICE) and Adubiifa Network Company.

The play will be premiered on July 15 at the June 12 Cultural Centre, and four other shows at the MUSON Centre on July 20 and 21.

The Noble Warrior showcases the protagonist brand persona likened to Wole Soyinka and highlighting similar personality traits as a fighter and the humane warrior in his 90-year sojourn on earth.
