The Executive chairman of Ido local government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo has tasked the newly sworn-in Secretary to the Local Government (SLG) and his assistant to put in their best for the overall interest of the local government and People’s Democratic Party that produced them.
The chairman gave the charge while swearing in the duo of Alhaji Kamorudeen Gbadamosi Akano and Mr Nurudeen Quadri Akanni as the Secretary to the Local Government and Assistant Secretary respectively.
“You were appointed because of the trust reposed in you and to contribute meaningfully towards the development of Ido Local Government and the betterment of the People’s Democratic Party.”
The chairman admonished the SLG and the Assistant Secretary to see their appointment as a call to serve and as such they must respect the supremacy of the party above personal or group interest.
In his remarks, Ido PDP chairman, Alhaji Ayuba Akinsola congratulated the Secretary and the Assistant for their nominations to serve their people.
He, however, called on them to be loyal to the executive chairman and be mindful that they are answerable to the Party.
He said further that they should unite with the existing political structure in the local government and remain as one indivisible entity.
In his words of appreciation, the newly sworn-in Secretary to the Local, Alhaji Kamorudeen Gbadamosi Akano promised to be loyal and discharge his ability to the Local Government and PDP at large.
