Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor are lining up major transfer moves for Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker, Tolu Arokodare, as a potential attacking reinforcement ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Trabzonspor are in the market for a new centre-forward following the departure of Felipe Augusto to Russian Premier League side Zenit St Petersburg, with Arokodare emerging as one of the club’s leading targets.
The Black Sea Storm has been linked with the former Genk star for several weeks, but reports now suggest they have taken the next step by officially approaching Wolves.
According to Turkish journalist Zeki Uzundurukan, Trabzonspor have tabled a loan proposal as they look to strengthen their attack before the start of the new season.
The 26-year-old is widely expected to leave Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer after the club suffered relegation from the Premier League last season.
The striker is keen to continue playing at a high level, and a move to the Turkish Super Lig could offer him the opportunity for regular first-team football.
The powerful forward only joined Wolves from Belgian Pro League side KRC Genk last summer but endured a difficult debut campaign in England.
Despite featuring regularly, Arokodare managed seven goals and two assists in 42 appearances across all competitions for the Old Gold.
Trabzonspor are expected to strengthen several areas of their squad as they prepare for the new season, and the club believe Arokodare’s physical presence, aerial ability and experience at the top level could add a new dimension to their attack.
