Nigeria’s Super Eagles’ striker, Victor Osimhen has been recognized for his fantastic performance during the Intercontinental Derby between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce, with football statistics website Whoscored.com naming the Napoli loanee in its Turkish Super Lig Team of the Week for gameday six.
The former Lille star was impressive as the Lion earned a 3-1 road win over their Istanbul rivals.
Osimhen was involved in the buildup to Galatasaray’s second goal against Fenerbahce as he skillfully laid the ball down with his chest in the box, allowing Dries Mertens to tap it past goalkeeper Livakovic in the 28th minute, marking the first time he has registered assists in back-to-back games since September 2019.

The reigning African Footballer of the Year attempted four shots with one on target, won two fouls for his team and gave away one.
Looking at Osimhen’s defensive stats, he had zero blocks, tackles and interceptions but registered two clearances.
