Law Students’ Association at the Lead City University, Ibadan on Monday kick-started its annual Law Week.

The first day of the week-long set of events saw the students hosting a symposium at the International Conference Center located within the fast growing institution of learning.

The first lecturer was Othniel Idowu Falana, Esq. whose topic of discussion was ‘Freedom of Speech Vs Hate Speech: When Should The Line Be Drawn?

Mr Akinpelu Madewa Thomas delivered the second lecture and the title was ‘A Platform Every Law Student Needs: Boosting Law School Success & Career Readiness.

Monday’s symposium was witnessed by the Dean of the Law Faculty, Professor Olanike Adelakun, the Faculty Manager, Mr Kolapo Tesleem and other lecturers.

In his welcome address, Akeju Ayoola, the President of Law Students’ Association of the institution urged his colleagues to be focused on their studies and ensure they work hard to remain the very best.

He used the opportunity to task all Law Students in the institution on need to play active roles during and after the week-long activities.

Other programmes planed ahead include, Moot and Mock Trial including Movie Night (on Tuesday), Trade Fair and Social/Games Night (on Wednesday) and Customs and Traditional day (on Thursday).

The grand finale holds on Friday, April 24th as the students file out to enjoy themselves at their Law Dinner which is expected to be glamorous as usual.
