Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM) FC head coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu has made it clear that his side will be targeting a victory in Algeria.
The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side will take on Mouloudia Club d’Alger (MC Alger) in the 2018 Confederation of Africa Football Champions League first round second-leg clash in Algeria next weekend.
MFM are leading 2-1 on aggregate having defeated Algerian side MC Alger 2-1 at the Agege Stadium in Lagos, Nigeria on Wednesday. Akuneto Chijioke and Monsuru Bashiru netted for the hosts, while Amachi Aziovez scored for the visitors.
“We have a lot of work to do in Algeria and the only thing we can do is to go out for a win; we would take that risk,” Ilechukwu said.
“I know it would be difficult but anything is possible in football.
“We have all it takes to win and qualify (for the mini-league) and that is my belief,” he continued.
“We had the weather advantage here but we did not use it, we will prepare for the weather too in Algeria.”
The winner on aggregate between MFM and MC Alger will advance to the group stage, while the loser will play in the CAF Confederation Cup play-off round.
