As part of the oversight functions of the legislative arm of government, the Ogun State House of Assembly will on Monday, October 9, 2017 commence the monitoring of the annual Budget performance to the various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of government to ascertain their level of compliance with the 2017 Appropriation Act.
The annual exercise according to a release signed by the Clerk of the Assembly, Engr. Lanre Bisiriyu was in consonance with sections 128 and 129 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).
The release added that the budget performance monitoring would also assist in ensuring effective and efficient service delivery in line with the policy thrust of the Senator Ibikunle Amosun led -administration.
The exercise according to the release would commence 9am daily and end on Friday, 17th November, 2017 , while all MDAs are expected to make available relevant documents and information to ensure the success of the exercise.
