Queens Park Rangers FC have confirmed that Nigeria-born Captain Nedum Onuoha will leave the club at the end of the season.

Speaking to Reporters, Onuoha said: “I want to thank everyone for making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived.

“When I do leave it will feel very different as I’ve spent half of my career here but, inevitably, nothing lasts forever.

“I’d like to say a big thank you to everybody who has supported both myself and the club throughout my time here.

“I’ve met a lot of great people and experienced some of the best moments in my career while being lucky enough to share those times with lots of great people – players, staff and fans alike.

“Some of my best memories have been under the lights at Loftus Road, where our fans are on top of the players and the opposition can feel the pressure at every angle.

Onuoha, 31, was signed from Manchester City in January 2012 and has made 223 appearances for the London club.
