As the strike embarked upon by members of the Joint Health Sector Unions, (JOHESU) continues to bite harder at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, the institution’s management has deployed prisoners serving ‘hard labour’ time at the Agodi Prisons to keep its environments clean.
PMParrot reporter who saw the prisoners cutting the weeds behind the South East Ward confirmed that four prisons officials were seen monitoring the inmates.
A source who spoke under the condition of being anonymous confirmed that the maintenance department of the institution has a working agreement with the prisons authorities.
