A prominent Nigerian fuji musician, Alhaji Taye Akande Adebisi was saved by providence after he was involved in a serious auto accident on Friday.
The mishap which occurred around 12.25 pm along Ile Ife-Ilesa Expess along Ife-Ilesha expressway on Friday.
The musician was going to Ado Ekiti where he was billed to perform at the commissioning of the first fly-over bridge in the state.
A very close aide of the talented fuji crooner informed that Taye had left Ibadan safely on Friday morning but as God would have it, the Toyota Hilux van somersaulted 15 times on the highway before the ‘freefall’ was halted by a tree branch.
Alhaji Taye Currency who was in the Toyota Hilux with his two managers and his personal assistant sustained a head injury while others sustained little or no injury.
PMParrot source informed that despite his head injury, he still insisted on proceeding to Ado Ekiti where he was billed to perform later in the day. He did exactly this till the wee hour of Saturday May 26.
In a telephone chat with PMParrot, Currency gave God all the glory for the opportunity to be among the living on this day.
His words “Please help me thank God for having mercy on me. I am not exactly a saint, yet God decided to allow me to continue to live.
“I also thank God that no life was lost and no who pray for us. And I will like to admonish all commuters to always make use of their seat belt as this is what saved my life
Currency has since retured to his palatial country home inside Oluyole Estate in Ibadan.
