Ahead of the final burial rites for Dr. Oluwole Oluleye, the former Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency boss; prominent Efon Alaaye indigene, Dr. Olusola Ayandele has advised other prominent indigenes of Efon Alaaye Kingdom to join him in the task of ensuring that the late Oluomo Oluleye is immortalized.

Dr. Ayandele gave the advice during the Christian wake and Night of Testimonies / Tributes at the Efon Alaaye residence of the late Oluomo Oluleye on Tuesday.

He said “I could hear some of you while speaking that Oluomo Oluwole Oluleye has never quarreled with anybody. He quarreled with me. In 1996, I was his Assistant Director; he was my Director. He gave me work to do and I did not do it. So, he quarreled with me. Oluomo Oluleye was a good husband to Mrs. Pat Oluleye. He was a good father to Tinu, Tokunbo and Dayo. He was a good brother to Professor Ayo Oluleye, Olayemi, Busola, Taye and Kehinde and Tope. He was a man of peace and a complete gentleman. He was someone that could not bear grudges. The least that we can do for him is to respect his memory. He has maintained the good name left behind by his late father, Major General J.J. Oluleye. Efon people must honour his memory by immortalizing him”.

Earlier at the event, the former Local Government Chairman in Efon Alaaye, Prince Ade Agbaje stated “that Efon Alaaye has lost one of its industrious sons. Efon has lost somebody who can never be forgetting in a hurry. As the Secretary of the Lagos Branch of Efon Alaaye League from 1996, Baba J.J. Oluleye handed over to me as the Chairman of Lagos while Dr. Wole Oluleye became the Secretary. While Dr. Wole Oluleye was there as the Secretary, he served honestly and diligently until he was transferred to Abuja. At the PPPRA, he did his best. He put in all he could as a goal getter and a resourceful person. He was the pacesetter”.

Prince Ade Agbaje went further to strongly appeal to the wife and the entire family to ensure they sustain the deceased’s legacies.

The Vicar for Efon Archdeaconry, Venerable Israel O. Olagunju while giving his exhortation at the wake, urged the family to always put their trust in God just as he charged them to be strong in the lord at all times.
