Aftermath Of GOTV Boxing Night: Kayrom Lee Offers Oyo Boxers Health Insurance

In a bid to ensure good health statuses for Oyo boxers, the principal partner of the Federal Ministry of Youths and Sports zone 1, Kayrom Lee Nigeria Limited has offered the five professional boxers that represented the state at the last 18th GOtv Boxing Night recently held at the indoor sports hall of Obafemi Awolowo Stadium Ibadan a full health insurance cover.

The CEO of Kayrom Lee, Amb. Romoke Ayinde disclosed this while hosting the victorious boxers Ridwan Adekola Scorpion, Akande Jumiu Sunshine, Morufu Owolabi Oloke and Jubril Lukman popularly known as Terrible, all of the Oyo State chapter of Nigeria Boxing Board of Control (NBBofC) which was led by its chairman Hon. Gbenga Opaleye and coaches at the 360 Innovation Building, the headquarters of the firm.

The Kayrom Lee boss in her address expressed concerns over the wellbeing and health statuses of the boxers considering the hectic nature of the boxing sport and ability of the boxers to adequately cater for sound medical care, she offered to finance a good medical care for the boxers and boxing apparels that they would wear during boxing bouts.

The owner of RACBAR Academy also pledged to collaborate with the NBBofC Oyo State to move the boxing sport forward considering the large numbers of boxers and high volume the boxing clubs have in the state.

“Part of our aims and objectives in establishing RACBAR Academy is to cater for other sports apart from football, which includes boxing, and we are ready to give every support the sport is needs to favourably compete in terms of awareness and welfare with football”, the multilingual boss of Kayrom Lee noted.

The Oyo NBBofC boss, Hon. Opaleye in his remark thanked the sports outfit for investing in the health of the boxers, the area he described as the most sensitive part of their boxing career while soliciting for support towards organizing regular boxing bouts as a way of engaging their numerous professional boxers that are yet to get the opportunity of competing in GOtv shows.

Other members of NBBofC on the entourage was the secretary of the body and renowned sports journalist Ganiyu Salman, the Coach of Francis Aiyegbeni Boxing Club that produced Sadiku Akeem Dodo and Ridwan Adekola Scorpion, Sunny Bruce and Coach Hassan Olawale Johnson popularly known as Akomonija.
