FBBARF Award: It Is A Call To Do More – Arc Hassan Giwa

The Otunba of Lagun Community and prominent son of Aliiwo family in Ibadan land, Arc. Hassan Olawale Giwa has described the Recognition and Merit Award bestowed on him by Aliiwo Progressive Movement (APM) as a call to do more for humanity and the society at large.

Giwa also sent his appreciation to the Aliiwo Progressive Movement (APM) and the entire sons and daughters of the Aliiwo family across the globe for deeming it fit to confer an Award of Fellow Blue Blood of Aliiwo Royal Family (FBBARF) on him.

He commended the facilitators of the Aliiwo Day, the Otun Olubadan of Ibadan land, High Chief Lekan Balogun, Senator Kola Balogun, Former Oyo State Head of service, Alhaji Tajudeen Aremu and a host of others for their support over the years for the success of the 2019 edition of the annual Aliiwo Day.

Giwa, who received the maiden edition of Fellow Blue Blood of Aliiwo Royal Family (FBBARF) Award thanked the organizers for the honour and promised to continue to appreciate Almighty God by giving back to the people and society.

The FBBARF Recognition & Merit Award is to commemorate the 5th celebration of Aliiwo Day which was held on September 21st, 2019 at Aliiwo Compound, Bus-Stop Gate, Ibadan.

Arc. Hassan Giwa, who is the founder of Hassan Olawale Giwa Foundation, a non-governmental organization that focuses on assisting the people, promised to continue to support Aliiwo Progressive Movement in all its activities to promote the legacy of the Aliiwo dynasty.

He promised not to relent in his effort to contribute more to the development of his remote and immediate environments.

Giwa highlighted that through his foundation, Otunba Hassan Olawale Giwa Foundation, he has assisted many students, empowered many youths as well as women and widows through his various developmental programmes in his capacity.

 He informed the people to be prepared to take part and benefit from his foundation’s free medical outreach programme that will commence soon.

The Chairman, Aliiwo Progressive M ovement, Sheik Sadiq Babatunde Bello expressed that the purpose of Aliiwo Day is to promote love and unity between sons and daughters of the Aliiwo family in Ibadan land.

He said that FBBARF Award is an award for only outstanding sons and daughters of Aliiwo in recognition and appreciation of their meritorious contributions towards the uplifting of the family.

The APM Chairman added that as a son of the Aliiwo family, Architect Hassan Giwa has made the family proud in his chosen career and distinguished himself both at home and beyond.

Babatunde explained that the award is to acknowledge his impact towards human capacity building of the fellow family members and promotion of the good image and legacy of Aliiwo dynasty.

Some of the dignitaries in attendance include the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, High Chief Lekan Balogun, the Senator representing Oyo South senatorial District, Senator Kola Blogun, Member, House of Representative, Hon. Adedeji Olajide and Hon. Omilabu Ghandi among others.
