Emzor Hesco Ltd Donates Disinfectants, Others To UCH

Emzor Hesco limited, one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in Nigeria had donated disinfectants and sanitizers to the University College Hospital in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State as support towards the fight to conquer the ravaging coronavirus pandemic.

The items were received by the hospital’s management team led by the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo.

Professor Otegbayo expressed the profound gratitude of the hospital towards the gesture coming at the time Nigeria is yearning for an end to the deadly virus. He assured the donors that the items will be utilized judiciously to provide the best care for the patients  that will require them and further urged that philanthropist and public spirited Nigerians to emulate the feat.

Earlier, the Regional Manager, Emzor Hesco Limited, Mr Gbenga Olafimihan who presented the items on behalf of the Board of Management and staff of the company commended UCH for the steps taken so far to curb the spread of the novel COVID-19 disease. Mr olafimihan noted that the company commends the efforts of UCH and the great service it has been rendering in the midst of obvious limitations .

The items donated are Non touch sanitizer dispenser ,Sterlink 1 litre sanitizer, Emzonium 1litre solution, Spray bottles and Towels.

The Emzonium 1 litre  can do a disinfectant solution of 2 drums (400 liters).

The CMD promised that all donations to the hospital will be properly accounted for as all monies are received into government coffers.

As at the close of business on Thursday, 21st May, 2020, one of two patients being managed for COVID 19 in the hospital has been discharged, and no new case has been reported.

The University College Hospital, Ibadan has been playing the leading role in combating the spread of the coronavirus, and will continue to render excellent care and services to all our patients. The Hospital equally enjoins everyone to adhere to the required infection prevention and control measures prescribed by the WHO and the NCDC, such as physical distancing, regular hand washing, use of hand sanitizers & face masks. We will continue to update the public accordingly.
