The Former Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. Victor Olabimtan, has hailed the decision of the Appeal Court reaffirming the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and his deputy, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiewa as winners of the last gubernatorial election in the state.
Olabimtan who spoke with PMParrot during the week said the judgement was an affirmation of the court as the last hope of man and a resounding reinforcement of the popularity of the governor in the state.
The former Speaker stated that the judgement was a fantastic one and a distraction from the PDP candidate Mr Eyitayo Jegede (SAN). He said Eyitayo Jegede had only gone to court to get what does not belong to him. What he challenged was an internal affairs of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and how our candidate emerged should not be the responsibility or concern of Jegede”.
He further advised Eyitayo Jegede (SAN) to focus on how to win election honourably while urging him to join hands with the governor in taking the state to a greater height.
He, however, congratulated the people of the state and the APC led-government for their courage, resilience and focus to continue to move forward in unity.
