A young man, suspected to be a kidnapper but who pretends to be a mad man on Ibadan, Oyo State’s capital city’s high brow Ring Road was nabbed and badly beaten up by residents on Tuesday afternoon.
PMParrot gathered that the suspected kidnapper, who feigns madness and and was always seen hibernating around the High Court Area of Ring Road was accosted after being seen delivering a package of human flesh to his suspected client in a fast-moving vehicle.
He, however, ran out of luck after passers-by approached him for his suspicious and incoherent movement after delivering a neatly packaged parcel to his suspected client, who escaped in his get-away vehicle.
Angry mob who later caught wind of the development descended on him and battered him beyond recognition for his suspected role in the rising cases of kidnapping of school children around Liberty Area/Ring Road section of Ibadan.
According to an eye witness account, ‘’The man who pretends to be mad was sighted by a group of people and on interrogation, he was caught with a dangerous knife. He claimed he was from Ekiti state and he is billed to kidnap and kill some people tonight.
“When we nabbed him, we discovered that he had clean cloths underneath his ‘uniform’ that portrays him as a mad man. In addition, his private part is neatly shaved’.
However, it could not be confirmed as at press time if he has been burnt to ashes as tempers were high and the mob kept calling for him to be subjected to jungle justice.
