Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate in Ekiti State, Otunba Bisi Kolawole has revealed that the party is working towards reconciling aggrieved aspirants and stakeholders from the party in the state.
He further stated that he is optimistic of the party’s victory in the forthcoming governorship election while assuring his supporters of the readiness of the PDP leadership to resolve the internal crises affecting the unity of the party.
He stated this on Wednesday in Ado Ekiti after he was presented with his certificate of return by the party’s leadership in Abuja.
He said, “The NWC has set up a powerful nine-man reconciliation committee headed by Senator David Mark to resolve the lingering issue in the party. In PDP, our issues are different from those of the APC. We are going to re-unite and what you have seen today is a signal to what you are expecting”
Speaking further, the State chairman of the party, Honourable Lanre Omolase stated that he was impressed with the large turn-out of the party’s supporters while assuring that the party is ready to rescue the state from the grip of the ruling APC party.
