Osun NSCDC Command Parades Suspect With Multiple Offences

The Osun State command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC) has paraded a 40 years old man with multiple criminal and fraudulent offences at the headquarters of the security agency in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.

Speaking, the State Commandant of the (NSCDC), Mr  Agboola Sunday, stated that the suspect named Awolumate Bola from Oke Abesu, Osogbo, was arrested for advance fee fraud,  obtaining money by false pretenses and impersonation.

He further said that the suspect was arrested by four members of the public who lodged a complaint that bordered on the above-mentioned offenses on 25 July, 2022 revealing that the suspect has made a confessional statement confirming his culpability in the offences.

“The suspect Awolumate Bola confessed to impersonating and pretending to be a Nigerian Immigration Officer under the pretext of which he collected the sum of N570, 000 from the four complainants with a promise to secure visa to Norway and Saudi Arabia promising to secure employment for one of the complainants”.

Commandant Agboola maintained that the suspect after thorough investigation would be charged to a court of competence after investigation.
