A crowd of Premier League clubs including Liverpool are reportedly trailing Nigeria’s Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze with the possibility of an early departure in the January Transfer Window or later in the summer of 2023.

As per Spanish news outlet, Fichajes, the 23-yer-old   FIFA U-17 World Cup winner is likely to be shipped away to the English Premier league (EPL) as the yellow Submarines set to activate the transfer market after two summers without major sales.

Incidentally, Chukwueze  was close to joining Everton  at the end of last summer’s  transfer  window  but there are huge speculations  now that  another Merseyside outfit, Liverpool  are now very keen  in acquiring the services  of the fleet-footed Nigerians.

The €50m rated would accordingly become one of the highest sales in the history of Villarreal with words rife that there’s a ‘great multitude of offers coming from the Premier League’.

Fichajes claimed the Jurgen Klopp-led Liverpool is now keen on having Chukwueze on board with Roberto Firmino likely to depart in the summer and Luis Diaz out for several months.

“Among all these English teams, the last to join the list of candidates would be Liverpool, who would apparently be attentive to the development of the African soccer player to finish shaping a fearsome attack that already has players of the stature of Mohamed Salah , Darwin Núñez, Diogo Jota or Roberto Firmino, the latter being with his departure after not renewing the one that would leave a vacancy that the Anfield team could bet to cover with the arrival of the Nigerian footballer from Villarreal,” claimed Fichajes.

Other EPL side said to be in the hunt for the former Diamond Football Academy player include West Ham United or Arsenal.

“Beyond Liverpool, teams of the stature of Everton, West Ham United or Arsenal would be some of the main interested parties in taking over the services of the African footballer from Villarreal throughout next summer, without ruling out the appearance on the scene of teams from other major leagues, which could soon be interested in one of the great jewels of the Castellón team, which is valued at 50 million euros,” noted the medium.
