The Chief Executive Officer of the renowned destination management company, UfitFly, Evang. Ajibola Ogunkeyede has announced plans to float a football club.
He said this is part of his company’s corporate social responsibility as the gesture will allow him to make a lot of Nigerian youths to be productively engaged.
“We all know that the government cannot do everything for our youths. Some of us in the corporate world should be seen as lending a helping hand. We have been doing so much in other areas to reduce unemployment among our youths, with this new move, we surely will be meticulous and ensure that our set goals are met.
Ogunkeyede made this revelation when he joined other businessmen sports-lovers at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium (Liberty Stadium) in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State to witness the final of the third edition of Walbog Motors Football Tourney on Sunday.
He further explained that the proposed UfitFly Football Club International will be floated anytime from now.
The young businessman later explained further to PMParrot that “In addition to keeping our youths functionally engaged, it will also be a veritable platform for them to showcase their talents.
“Of course, God can send us to the few exceptionally talented ones among them to really go professional. You know we have connection world-wide because of our international tourism business at UfitFly. I will not say more than that for now. However, our people should continue to keep us in their prayers for us to be able to deliver all our people and youth-oriented plans”.
In addition to Olawale Ogunkeyede, the CEO of WAL-BOG Motors who organized the football tourney, others present at the sporting event included Alh. Olayiwola Kolawole, the CEO of De-KK Auto, Hon Jumoke Ogunkeyede, prominent media personalities and other prominent Ibadan-based businessmen and women.
