Ayefele Invests N150m On Musical Equipment After Floating Eighth Radio Station

    Successful radio station owner and popular music icon, Dr Yinka Ayefele, MON, has just splashed over N150m on different sets of musical equipment.

    PMParrot can confirm that his came after he established yet, another radio station called ‘Tiwa-n-Tiwa 106.6fm – it is also based in Ibadan.

    This brings the total number of radio stations he owns to eight- namely: (1) Fresh 105.9fm (Ibadan) (2) Fresh 107.9fm (Abeokuta) (3) Fresh 106.9fm (Ado Ekiti), (4) Fresh 104.9fm (Osogbo) (5) Fresh 105.3fm (Lagos) (5) Fresh 102.9fm (Akure) (7) Blast 98.3fm (Ibadan and (8) Tiwa-n-Tiwa 106.6fm Radio (Ibadan).

    In a chat with PMParrot, the highly talented Nigerian radioman confirmed his decision to invest in musical equipment.

    His words “yes, I decided to invest in musical equipment because it my own ministry. I must take care of it. If people said I spent N150 million, it is true. As a matter of fact, it is more than that.”

    The Ipoti-Ekiti born broadcaster turned musician also submitted: “the musical equipment they are talking about also included facilities needed by our Radio Stations. Music and radio stations use almost the same equipment – sophisticated microphones, digital mixers, consoles, speakers, computers, guitars, keyboards, jacks, plugs and all those stuffs.

    Determination

    “You see, I am a serious man when it comes to what I do. Many people do not know that I started as a Radio man, if you like, call me a ‘studio rat’. Music is my life, radio is my soul. And those close to me know this. That is why God sent kind hearted people to me for support.”

    Ayefele then went ahead to affirm that the fund for the new equipment acquisition project was raised from fans in Nigeria.

    “I am proud to let you know that Senator Lekan Mustapha, Seyi Onajide, Tope Agbeyo, Abu Abel and several others raised most of the funds needed to purchase the equipment for me. And for this, I remain eternally grateful.

    “I am also grateful to my overseas-based fans who, I am sure, are equally planning to support me in one way or the other. That is why, together with the members of my musical band and radio station colleagues, we are bent on remaining at the very top of what we do. All the glory to God for granting us all we need to remain the best.”
