The founder of Hassan Olawale Giwa (HOG) Foundation, Arc (Dr.) Hassan Giwa, has commiserated with Professor Adeolu Akande and the entire Akande family over the death of their father, Pa Amos Adetunji Akande.
Pa Amos Akande died on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at the age of 90 years.
Arc Giwa, in a condolences message to Prof. Adeolu and the family, reminded them that death is inevitable and described it as a promise that every individual irrespective of status must fulfill.
The Asiwaju Adini Musulumi of Ibadanland urged them to thank God for the life and legacy left behind by Pa Amos Adetunji Akande, who many have described as a man of good character and a great community leader.
“I join numerous people to sympathize with you (Prof. Adeolu Akande) and the entire family of Akande following the passage of your patriarch, Pa Amos Adetunji Akande. Though it is sad news that is very difficult to take, it is also a promise that every individual must fulfil.
“I urge the Akande family to take it as the will of God. You should rather be thanking God for the good life Pa Amos Adetunji Akande has spent and the legacy he left behind, which made many to describe him as a man of good character and a great community leader.
“I sympathize with you and pray that almighty God gives the people left behind fortitude to bear the loss and make the soul of Pa Amos Akande to rest in peace.”
