    The remains of Mr. Clement Ayodeji Ige, a veteran journalist was committed to mother earth on Saturday, June 6,2026, after a short Christian service at his Ireakari estate residence, Soka, Ibadan.

    Aged 68, Mr. Ige, a multitalented print and broadcast journalist, was the founding administrator of Friends of Yemi Farounbi platform, a forum very dear to his heart and which he administered effectively till he breathed his last.

    Pastor Adebayo  Samuel Bamidele, who anchored the church service, admonished the congregation to live each day as their last and to emulate Mr. Clement Ige, an Ekitiman who lived a life of service to humanity.

    Picking his admonition from the book of First Thessalonians 4: 13-18, he said that true Christians who died in Christ will arise with Christ at the resurrection and that we should comfort ourselves with the biblical  assurance

    People from far and near, including journalists and his classmates in the diaspora, were represented at the service.

    A member of the Ireakari landlord association said that Mr. Clement Ige ‘s contributions towards the development of the area will remain indelible in their hearts.

    Representatives of Friends of Yemi Farounbi in attendance included Chief  Yomi Davies,  Hon. Taiwo Akeju, Ambassador. Olayinka Agboola, Barr. Wale Ojo-Lanre, Alhaji Muda Ganiyu, Mr. Wale Ojo and Dr. Mrs Veronica Osaghae, Mrs Adunbiobi, Mr Dele Idris amongst others.
