A philanthropist and chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mpumalanga Province, South Africa, Dr. Oluwatosin Ademola Ojo, has urged the people of Ekiti State to support and vote for Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) in the forthcoming governorship election.
Dr. Ojo, a vascular surgeon by profession, highlighted the importance of continuity in good governance, describing the BAO-led administration as a government committed to the development and progress of Ekiti State.
The founder of the Farming and Feeding Initiative and Sade-Ademola Foundation, who has been actively involved in humanitarian activities and the well-being of Ekiti people over the years, noted that the election remains crucial to the future growth and development of the state.
He called on Ekiti residents to make their votes count by supporting leadership that prioritises the welfare of the people, economic growth, and sustainable development.
Dr. Oluwatosin Ademola Ojo wished Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji a resounding victory at the Saturday, 20th June 2026, governorship election.
Meanwhile, the Director-General of the Ekiti State Bureau of Community Communication, Mary Oso-Omotosho, has declared that Governor Biodun Oyebanji would secure a convincing victory in Saturday’s governorship poll before 12 noon.
Oso-Omotosho said the governor’s performance in office, coupled with the widespread support he enjoys across the 16 local government areas of the state, had placed him far ahead of other contestants in the race.
Speaking with journalists shortly during a roadshow organised to mobilise support for Oyebanji, Oso-Omotosho said that the opposition party candidates are no match for Oyebanji, whom she described as the most marketable and widely accepted candidate in the race.
She maintained that by 12 noon on Election Day, the governor had won the governorship poll, saying Ekiti people have resolved to renew Oyebanji’s mandate for another four years.
She added that the enthusiasm displayed by the people during the campaign period and the positive reception accorded the party during the roadshow across communities had left little doubt about the likely outcome of the poll.
