Ibadan darling club, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), has completed the signing of midfielder Issa Yusuf from Bayelsa United ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
According to the club management, the Oluyole Warriors reached an agreement with Bayelsa United to secure the services of the highly rated midfielder as part of efforts to strengthen the squad for the new campaign.
Yusuf, who is known for his composure in possession, creativity, vision, and tireless work rate in midfield, is expected to add quality and depth to the Oluyole Warriors as they prepare for a busy 2026/27 season.
In addition to competing in the Nigeria Premier Football League, Shooting Stars will also represent Nigeria in the 2026/27 CAF Confederation Cup.
The acquisition of Yusuf is seen as part of the club’s strategy to strengthen its midfield and build a squad capable of competing effectively on both the domestic and continental fronts.
