The award adds to Davido’s international honors as Nigerian artists continue to appear on major global award platforms while Afrobeats gains worldwide reach.
Founded in 2009, the Liberian Entertainment Awards recognize excellence in music, film, fashion, sports, and community service.
The platform celebrates Liberian entertainers in Liberia and across the diaspora.
Meanwhile, Davido has confirmed he and American R&B singer Chris Brown will release a joint album next year.
Davido disclosed the project during an appearance on the Swift Conversations podcast.
He said his current material focuses on African sounds and features production from longtime Nigerian collaborators.
“The music I am making now is very African. In this next project, I am working with a lot of my original producers from back home.
“However, I am still an American, so definitely there’s going to be collaborations. I and Chris Brown got an album coming next year,” he stated.
He added that collaborations with U.S. artists remain part of his plans.
Davido and Chris Brown first collaborated on the 2019 track Blow My Mind.
The pair have teased a joint project since 2023, when Davido revealed they had multiple unreleased tracks together.
