The Director National Orientation Agency NOA Malam Lanre Issa-Onilu has applauded Funke Akindele Network, FAAN for producing movie promoting respect for naira named Behind The Scene.
In a statement by the Director General Malam Lanre Issa-Onilu says the movie is a thoughtful and patriotic inclusion of message promoting respect for Nigerian naira.
Malam Lanre Onilu described Funke Akindele as a model saying that her effort highlight the importance of preserving the the dignity of the national currency by discouraging the practice of spraying and trampling of the naira at public functions.
He explained that the creative intervention aligns with federal government ongoing advocacy for responsible civic behavior and adherence to laws guiding the proper use of the naira.
According to Lanre Onilu naira is not a merely a medium of exchange but a symbol of national sovereignty and collective identity.
The DG NOA said the agency recognizes the vital role of entertainment industry in shaping the societal values attitudes.
He explained that her work exemplifies how films can effectively be utilized as tool for national orientation and encouraged her to do more.
