Super Eagles winger, Alex Iwobi, has been nominated for Arsenal player of the month award for November.

Iwobi was nominated for the honour alongside the trio of goalkeeper Bernd Leno, Lucas Torreira, and Rob Holding.

The Nigeria international laid on an assist for Alexandre Lacazette in the Gunners’ 1-1 with Liverpool and delivered an inch-perfect through ball in the build-up to Arsenal’s winning goal in the 2-1 win against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium last Sunday.

Iwobi who penned a new lucrative deal with the North London club before the start of the current season has been one of the club’s top performers under new manager, Unai Emery.

He was among the first team regulars rested in The Gunners’ UEFA Europa League clash against Ukranian club, Vorskla Poltava on Thursday. Arsenal won the match 3-0.

Iwobi face serious competition from German goalie, Bernd Leno who has continued to impress in the absence of regular first choice, Petr Cech.

Leno made four key saves in Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Wolves before clawing an 89th-minute header away in the win against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

Lucas Torreira’s outstanding start to life in England continued as he played a key role in the draws with Liverpool and Wolves, and the Gunners’ victory at Bournemouth.
