Odion Ighalo, ex-Super Eagles striker, on Monday put smiles on some faces as he gave out money to 20 lucky Twitter users, Sports Extra report.
Ighalo tweeted around 9am on Monday announcing in pidgin English that he would bless 20 users.
“Just drop your account number and I will send money to 20 accounts. So whoever is credited should please signify, don’t want anyone’s account to be credited twice,” he added in English.
The tweet immediately saw over 6,000 Twitter users drop their account details.
The Shanghai Shenhua forward, however, apologised to fans that were not lucky enough to get a share of the money.
“20 done. As I said earlier, If you get the money please signify with a show of hand, and those who didn’t I am sorry. Next time and God bless you all.”
A lucky user with the name Dreylo who received the sum of N100,000 tweeted, “100k received. Thank you Ighalo. Let me do giveaway.”
