Celica Church of Christ, Worldwide is set to play host to the leadership of World Council of Churches (WCC) from Saturday 29th of January to 1 February 2022.
This was released in a statement signed by WCC top shot, Revd. Dr Simon Benjamin who stated that the purpose of the visit to Celica “Is to learn about the life, witness, struggles, joys and hopes of the church and to share information about the WCC and address specific questions from the side of the WCC and Celica church of Christ”.
He further stated the the leadership of the WCC would meet with various representatives and leadership of the church during the visit, stating that the visit would afford the delegation to learn about the priorities of the church, its mission, evangelism, women participation in the church activities, theology of the church, peace and human rights, interreligious dialogue among others.
The event will be rounded off with a thanksgiving service on Sunday January 29, 2022.
