Former Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker, Bartholomew Ogbeche became the highest goalscorer in the Indian Super League after scoring a brace for Hyderabad FC in their 5-0 thrashing of Northeast United, taking his tally to 49 goals since moving to the country.

The 37-year-old opened the scoring in the third minute and added his second in the 60th minute. Goals from Akash Mishra, Nikhil Poojary, and Edu Garcia completed the rout.

Ogbeche has spent three seasons in India, scoring 12 goals for Northeast United, 15 goals for Kerala Blasters, and 8 goals for Mumbai City before joining Hyderabad in July last year.

The former PSG player has been spectacular for Hyderabad FC since he arrived, scoring 14 goals in 13 appearances and helping his side to the summit of the ISL after 14 games.

Ogbeche has six caps for Nigeria and was part of Nigeria’s squad for the Japan 2002 World Cup.
