...Azubuike Okechukwu...in serious demand...

The Captain of Nigeria’s U23 team, Azubuike Okechukwu’s life at Yeni Malatyaspor is almost over as he is attracting interest from top Turkish Super Lig clubs ahead of the opening of the transfer window.

Beşiktaş J.K, Osmanlıspor and Kasimpasa have made undisclosed bids to sign the central midfielder and Yeni Malatyaspor higher-ups are studying the offers.

Turkish champions, Galatasaray have already opened talks with Azubuike’s camp, though they have not yet firmed up their interest by submitting a bid.

Regarded as one of the most promising talents in Africa, the 19-year-old started his career in his homeland with Niger Tornadoes before shifting to Bayelsa United, from where he was snapped up by Yeni Malatyaspor in 2015.

Okechukwu has one international cap to his name which came in an African Cup of Nations qualifier versus Egypt a year ago.
