The award project, according to the Lagos based media firm was initiated and inaugurated in 2004, with the aim to recognise, appreciate, encourage and celebrate individuals, governments, agencies, brands and companies who have excelled in security administration, practice and governance in Africa.
“The award was conceptualized to encourage our security personnel that distinguish themselves and exhibit bravery, because security is an essential element for any human existence. Security must be available for the growth and development of any society.
“Oyo SARS has been outstanding recently with many ground breaking successes in bursting crime within the state and environ, especially their victory against the notorious gangster group dubbed ‘one million boys’, the statement from the security media outfit read.
