Senator Rashidi Ladoja...

One of the leaders of the Oyo State Chapter of the African Democratic Alliance (ADC) and former governor of Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, PMParrot can confirm, is still firmly rooted in the party.

This was confirmed to us on Wednesday evening by one of his closest aides who craved for anonymity.

According to the aide, the news about the elder statesman’s cross-carpeting to the new Zenith Labour Party on Tuesday was not entirely false.

In the words of our source, “Baba is ready to move away from ADC if he is not convinced that he will be fairly treated. But I can confirm to you that as at today, 9pm on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, Senator Rashidi Ladoja is still a member of ADC”.

PMParrot gathered that there are are four reasons why Senator Ladoja and his ardent followers may eventually jettison ADC.

Another independent source informed “Senator Ladoja is skeptical and sure that the name of Senator Olufemi Lanlehin may eventually not be thrown up as the gubernatorial candidate of ADC. This is because as at Wednesday evening, the name has not been officially submitted to INEC.

“Secondly, most of Senator Ladoja’s people were not given the Oyo State House of Assembly tickets. A few that were given got their names removed.

“Then the issue of Senator Lanlehin’s deputy is also in contention. Chief Michael Koleoso, another top leader of the party is supposed to nominate the running mate of ADC’s gubernatorial candidate. This agreement is not being followed.

“To cap it all, the court case instituted by the 12 gubernatorial aspirants is another major issue that concerns Baba Ladoja. If it is not withdrawn, it may affect the future of Senator Lanlehin as ADC’s gubernatorial flagbearer.”

PMParrot, however, got privileged information from a party elder that meetings are still being held to ensure that all these perceived anomalies are thrashed out and sorted out once and for all.

Ladoja, we were told, has given all those concerned till Friday, November 16 to make necessary adjustments.
