Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr has advised the South Africa national football team that if they can play as they played against Nigeria in Saturday Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, they would emerge victorious against Libya.
With Libya hammering Seychelles 8-1 on Saturday afternoon, it is going to be a big battle when South Africa face the Mediterranean Knights in March 2019 for the last ticket in Group E of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Super Eagles won back-to-back games against Libya in October, while South Africa were held to a goalless draw by the North Africans two months ago.
Commenting on South Africa’s final group game vs Libya, Rohr told SuperSport : ”It will be a big battle, in Sfax we played a very good Libyan team. They saw already here that it is not easy to beat them.
”But I think that if South Africa played as they did today, with Percy Tau who is a wonderful player they are going to beat them and even a draw will be enough.
”I think they will be with us at the next AFCON in Cameroon.”
