Public Service Journal, ‘The Fountain Bureaucrat’ Unveiled By Fayemi

The latest edition of the Fountain Bureaucrat, the Journal of Ekiti state public service has been unveiled in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti state capital.

While unveiling the Journal, the Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, who was represented by his Deputy, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi, and who commended the Acting Head of Service, Mrs. Peju Babafemi-led editorial team for successfully working on the journal and presenting same to the reading public reiterated his determination to reclaim Ekiti State which he said had been plummeted in recent past with a view to restore its values.

The governor, who described the content quality of the publication as superb, said the journal would go viral to support the vision and mission of his administration.

In her opening remark, the Publisher, who is also the Acting Head of Service of the State, Mrs. Olapeju Babafemi described the Journal as a verifiable platform that would be used by the public servants across the State to share experience and acquire knowledge.

Mrs Babafemi, who said the primary focus of the publication was to arouse the mental alertness of all officials of government as topical issues in the civil service would be essentially discussed and richly amplified in all its editions commended the State governor for providing the required support and goodwill that facilitated the publication of the Journal.

While encouraging public servants in the State to read and digest the Journal in order to keep themselves updated in the policies and programmes of the State government, the Publisher said the edition was specially dedicated to celebrate Dr. Kayode Fayemi-led administration’s first 100 days in office.

While welcoming several dignitaries, top government functionaries and public servants that graced the occasion which took place at the new governor’s office, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Civic Orientation, who is also the Editor-in-chief of the publication, Dr. Adekunbi Obaisi described the 4 pillars of the administration  as an achievable ambition.

The Editor-in-Chief urged all civil and public servants in the State to endeavour to get a copy of the Journal as its quality content would go a long way to enrich their knowledge.

While reviewing the Journal, Mr. Segun Omolayo, who recommended the Journal to all public servants in order to be acquainted with the activities of government critically analysed various activities and functions of the public service. Mr. Omolayo gave the editorial team a pass mark with a charge to them to promptly commence work on the next edition of the production.

The reviewer believed that the publications would take both the State and its civil service to their next levels.

Top government functionaries who delivered goodwill messages at the occasion included the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeniran Alagbada, who was represented by the Clerk of the House, Tola Esan, the Secretary to the State Government, Abiodun Oyebanji, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Olawale Fapounda, the Director General, Office of Transformation, Strategy and Delivery, Prof. Mobolaji Aluko and the Acting Vice Chancellor, Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti amongst several others.
